Tree Maintenance Ltd. was established in 1980 by Geoffrey March to provide a quality service of tree care and advice in the Stroud area, Gloucestershire and surrounds. He was joined in 1984 by co-director Stephen Cullis and together they managed the Tree Advice & Consultancy and Tree Works areas, respectively.
In January 2011, Stephen took over as sole director and Geoff moved to an Associate Consultant role, whilst beginning a very well-deserved partial retirement. Ken Sheppard, a chartered arboriculturalist with over 24 years experience has also joined Tree Maintenance as the company’s Senior Arboricultural Consultant.
Tree Maintenance strives to comply with or exceed all Health and Safety legislation, with all team members having appropriate NPTC training and certification.
Our office is fully staffed 5 days a week from 9:00am – 3:30pm with emergency contacts available out of hours.
For many years we have fund-raised for our chosen charity Tree Aid, based like us in the South West and providing aid to those less fortunate than ourselves when it comes to tree cover.

Accreditation and Affiliation
In 1985 Tree Maintenance Ltd. attained Approved Contractor status from the Arboricultural Association, a professional body committed to advancing the study and promotion of trees and raising standards within the industry. We were successfully re-inspected in 2008.
In 2004 Geoffrey March was accepted as one of about 40 UK-registered consultants by the Arboricultural Association, and became a Fellow of the Association in 2005.
Tree Maintenance Ltd. are registered with Constructionline, the UK’s largest register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants. This means that when hiring us you can have peace of mind and save time.
We are also Trustmark Approved. TrustMark is a not for profit organisation supported by the Government and consumer protection groups, aimed at helping you find reliable, trustworthy tradesmen. Trustmark includes a government endorsed ‘Tree Surgeon / Arborist’ listing through TreeCareApproved.org.
